6A: Aidan Cain – WR – Mt. Lebabon
All though losing to the Pine-Richaland Rams on Friday, Cain put on an impressive showing. He set a state record in receptions with 27, surpassing the 22 that King of Prussia’s Bob Thomas set in 1972. He tallied 337 yards with 2 touchdowns.

Mt. Lebanon is at Hempfield next week.

5A: Brady Walker – QB – Gateway
Walker was 17 of 25 and threw for 243 yards and had 4 touchdowns in Gateways 41-8 win over Latrobe. Walker tacked on a 40-yard scamper in addition to the 243 passing yards.

Gateway is at Connellsville next week.

4A: Connor Basinger – QB – Laurel Highlands
Basinger rushed for more than 241 yards and added 6 touchdowns in Laurel Highlands win over Indiana on Friday. He was a dominant force that could not be kept out of the end zone.

Laurel Highlands is at Greensburg Salem this week.

3A: Tyler Wallace – DB – Beaver
Wallace had to two interceptions that were both returned for touchdowns in Beaver’s 28-0 win over Freedom on Friday. The returns were for 47 and 35 yards.

Beaver hosts Aliquippa this week.

2A: Tamaine Underwood – QB – East Allegheny
Underwood had a career day against South Allegheny; He was 22 of 39 for 278 yards in addition to throwing for 2 touchdowns in East Allegheny’s 28-26 win on Friday.

East Allegheny is at Brentwood this week.

1A: Mahlik Strozier – QB – Rochester
Strozier had a strong showing for the Rams on Friday with 263 yards rushing while adding 3 touchdowns in the Rams 36-7 cakewalk win over Shenango.

Rochester plays host to Summit Academy this Friday.
